2018 Pain & Opioid Management Program

Led by Dr. Don Teater

Dr. Nick Ulmer is a family physician who became a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in 2001 and was only one of sixteen people with both MD/CPC certifications at that time. This unique skill set has led him to numerous national and regional speaking engagements to providers across the spectrum of care delivery from small groups to large healthcare systems. Dr. Ulmer still maintains an active clinical practice and his administrative roles are expansive with his scope of work dealing with population health, coding compliance/ optimization, and clinical integration. His ability to speak CMS-based guidelines in a “colleague to colleague” format has proven beneficial to attendees of the healthcare team.
